9 Months Old!

For Abby's 9 Month Photo I couldn't decided between the above Halloween one or the above cute cow one...I will let you decide which one is cuter!

My baby girl is 9 months already, when did that happen?! At her 9 month check up on the 7th she was 28 1/4" tall which put her in the 75th percentile, she weighs 20lbs which puts her in the 71st percentile, and her head circumference is 17 1/4" which put her in the 46th percentile (she is a little pin-head, lol).

Abby is just getting to be so grown up. She is crawling everywhere now, pulls herself to stand up and can walk as long as she is holding on to something. She gives mommy "kisses" and high-fives and just started giving me Eskimo kisses which though may involve drool is the cutest thing ever! She loves playing peek-a-boo and just getting into everything. She can climb up the stairs though coming down is still another story. I just can't believe how smart and quick she is. We've been teaching her how to get off the bed and though it's still a little nerve racking for me to watch her she knows exactly how to get off the bed and onto the floor safely. She is just so amazing and smart and attentive and just the world to us!

Thanksgiving

I don't know who still checks this but hey I can wait to see you all during Thanksgiving!

Daddy-daughter time!

On Sunday I had the opportunity to snap a couple of really cute pics of Matt and Abby having some daddy-daughter bonding time. I am so grateful for these opportunities to see my loves having so much fun together!

Matt's B-day!

My amazing hubby just celebrated his b-day and you know we had to make a weekend of it! Matt turned 35 on Sunday, October 2nd so we started the celebration on Saturday and had a ball!

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early (Matt had a test to take that day) and Matt opened up a card I gave him with some coupons. I gave him two coupons, one for a "Discovery Flight" which we had to postpone until his eye gets better, and the other for a weekend get-away to Park City. He seemed pretty excited for the day ahead!

Sadly my camera broke so we had to take it back to Best Busy to get fixed (which they said they would do for no charge, gotta love warranties!!) so there weren't many pics from our activities on Saturday but we had a blast! First Matt had to take a test which wasn't so fun but then right after we went to In-N-Out (one of Matt's favorites) and enjoyed some yummy food! Abby seemed to enjoy it too!

My buddy Claudia and her two daughters watched Abby Saturday and had a fun slumber party! Claudia is the best ever and I am so glad she was willing to watch Abby for us. After we dropped off Abby we headed up to Park City for the day and night. We went to the outlets and did some shopping and just had so much fun! Matt wanted to get some Christmas shopping done for me so we looked at clothes and I got a lot of good stuff...sadly I wont get to wear any of it until after Christmas. We also bought Abby a lot of Christmas presents which was nice. Later that night we went to dinner at the Blue Iguana and the food was amazing! We spent the night in Park City and the next day we picked up a very happy Abby from Claudia's. Thanks again chica! On Sunday we enjoyed watching conference, relaxing, and Matt opening his birthday presents from Abby. He got a mouse-pad for work with pictures of Matt, myself, and Abby, he also got a new shirt and the tv show Leverage season 4. Good times for sure!!

Later that day we all went out to dinner at Red Robin for dinner with my family. It was a bitter-sweet dinner since we were celebrating Matt's birthday but also it was the last time Austin would be having a family dinner with us for over two years. Still hard to believe he will be leaving on the 12th, just over a week away. We enjoyed good family and good company!

I always love spoiling my hubby on his birthday! He does so much for our family (works, goes to school full-time, is the most AMAZING dad ever!!!) and its always nice for me to let him know how much I love him! Matt truly is the best husband and father ever, he is so kind and patient and just so full of love. He would do anything for his family and he deserves so much for all he does. I love you so much Matt and I hope you had the best birthday ever!!

Christmas Dinner

On othere news we need to decide what we want for Christmas dinner. I think a smorgas board of Italian. There are some great salads, pastas, and breads that are so so yummy! But we all need to vote on it. What are your ideas? Then Allie can you stick up a poll again? I don't know how to do that.

Today is a good day!

I don't know about all of you but today is a very good day. I haven't mentioned to many of you that I have been changing my life style. I decided that if I am going to tell people that they need to eat healthy and excersise, then i need to do it too. Sometime in the Summer I decided this. I am not dieting, but I am eating less and more healthy snacks inbetween meals. So it feels like I am eating more frequently. I still eat brownies once in a while, have some icecream here and there. I also have been taking the stairs at clinicals (it amounts to 4-5 flights of stairs (good thing I come early, I end up breathing hard at the end). So why is today such a good day? It is because I weighed 238lbs for so long and today I stepped on the scale and saw 228! Today is my 10lb mark. It has been years since I have seen that! So I thought you should all share in my exciting news! That is if any of you still read the blog site . . .

Be Prepared

Since school started, Tim and I have been scrambling with meals (which is difficult because I'm ALWAYS hungry!)  We spend all day Mon-Thurs on campus.  We wait for each other at the Institute, which is nice because we have a place to store our food.  We also get two free meals a week there, but that isn't enough.  We are very tired of sandwiches and don't have enough time throughout the week to make anything else.
4 quarts of Spaghetti Sauce
Saturday we slaved over a solution.  We made spaghetti sauce because it's versatile, making pasta is incredibly quick, and it will last us a while.  The chili and chowder wont last as long as the sauce will, but they should be hearty enough for a meal while we're at school.  We freeze them in meal size portions for two.  That way we can just grab one out of the freezer the night before, and viola, lunch is made!!
4 quarts of Chili
Miracles of miracles, we even managed to keep the kitchen clean while cooking, so we only had minor clean up after.  When we walked into the kitchen this morning, Tim and I had to wonder if yesterday even happened...There wasn't a trace of three meals being cooked in there yesterday, not even the trace of one...It was weird.
4 quarts of Corn Chowder
Tim is just swamped with homework and I am plagued with no energy.  We are so excited and proud of ourselves for being prepared for the coming weeks. Oh yea!  And I made a batch of cookies yesterday because I've been itching to bake.  They we're delicious.

Aaaaaand...because my brother Matt asked "how pregnant" I am, here's how pregnant I am:
19 weeks down.

I put this stripy shirt on and Tim and I both were surprised, I guess there really is a bun in that oven.  I have even been able to feel her kick for about two weeks now.  It's a really really really weird feeling, but such an exciting experience!
