Photo Bonanza

First things first:  Adelaide's SECOND tooth just broke through, so now she has two bottom teeth.  You can't quite see them yet, they're still short.  By far, this has been Tim's proudest milestone Addie has reached.  He's so adorable.  We just found the new tooth and he immediately called his dad.  Too cute.

On to the photos!

On the 17th we made an impromptu trip to San Francisco.  We found a great new place that oversees the Golden Gate Bridge.  We had such a fun day driving around as seeing the sites and Adelaide was awesome!  She just hung out in her car seat the whole day.  We got out of the car once and she ate at that point, but she didn't get fussy until we were almost home!

Addie looks so cute in the car!

She loves driving already!

Hopefully the two of them will have this much fun in fifteen years when he has to teach her for reals!

A new fun thing that Tim learned about Adelaide is that when you tickle her thighs...Her arms shoot up behind her head!

The first day of school for all three of us!
Addie did pretty good at day care.  There are six babies in one classroom with one teacher, a teacher assistant, and then there are floaters that go where ever needed.  That day when I picked her up there were three floaters in there.  I guess every baby but one was teething.  Yikes.  She had a lot of fun playing, she ate very well...but she did not sleep well at all.  That night she kept waking up to make sure we were there and by 4:30 in the morning just going to her crib wasn't enough any more.  I had to take her to bed with us.  Even then she could only sleep if she had her arms wrapped around my arm.  I must admit it was very sweet.

One of Adelaide's favorite places to play is in front of our closet doors...And one of her new favorite toys is a pair of socks?? She loves putting it in her mouth...then pulling really hard until it pops out. So cute.

Our trip to the Zoo!

On Saturday, August 18th, we went to the Zoo with my brother Ryan and we had a blast! We had been wanting to take Abby all summer and decided to go before Matt started school again next week. Abby loved seeing all the animals and besides the heat it was a great time!

I've Been Carrying This Hammer all Day and My Arms Are so Thor!

Adelaide does this thing when she is in her high chair eating her mess of pureed food; she bangs her right fist on her tray.  I feel like she's trying to tell us something.  Maybe something like this...

Six Months (Two Days Ago...)!!

So obviously I'm not so great at the whole monthly baby update.  Or updating in general.  Must do better...yada yada.

So Addie hit the big six months on Monday!  It is so exciting to think that it has been half a year already (only?)!  Our baby girl is just the most adorable little creature.  Some days she looks just like a little Thelin clone and others she DeGriselles through and through.  Over all she is a super happy and alert baby still.  And still she goes through spurts of having great naps (like a four hour nap every day) to terrible naps (like 30 minute cat naps throughout the day).  Sadly we just entered the scattered naps schedule again...  Adelaide sits up, eats three meals of solids a day, squeals, "talks", scoots in a circle, pulls herself forward a smidgen with her arms (army crawl style?), makes raspberries, loves the bath, bangs her tummy when she gets excited, and she has a TOOTH!  Tim is the most proud of this last development.

At the pediatricians office on Monday we found out Adelaides new stats:

Height: 26 1/2 inches (75th percentile) (was the 90th)
Weight: (drum roll please) 15 pounds 10 ounces! (50th percentile) That's three pounds in two months and she's popped up from the 25th to 50th since her four month check up
Head Circumference 42 1/2 cm (50th percentile) (same percentile as always)

Looks like finally we may be out of the woods weight wise.  She still spits up quite a bit...but not quite as much as she used to.  Here's her six month photo shoot with her lovely elephant!

My summer wouldn't be complete without our annual Olson Family Reunion! This year the reunion was on Saturday, August 6th up at Payson Lakes and we had a blast! We enjoyed the day just relaxing, playing a little in the water, and enjoying some good food. We had such a fun time! Abby loves the water so she was in heaven. What a fun time with family!!

Note the peas please.

Planted just a week ago with Luke and Leona's help (Emma-Lee was in the neighborhood, doing . . . something), they are coming along just fine.

Perhaps one of these pea plants will grow like Jack's.  What do you think?  Grandpa D.
