Update: Matt's Surgery

As I think most of you know on Friday (the 18th) Matt underwent cataracts surgery on his left eye. He had been needing to get this surgery since December so it was nice to finally get it done. We woke up bright and early to get over to the surgical center in Provo by 6:30am. The surgery took about an hour and he was done! Everything went according to plan and he should be getting the same surgery on his right eye in about 2 weeks. We are pretty excited because it should help his vision a lot!

Matt was just a tad bit nervous

Not the best quality pic but his eye was super dilated and looking pretty creepy!

Right after the surgery Matt got to wear this clear eye patch. He said he felt pretty good just a slight headache.

  1. Maybe this surgery will help with his headaches he won't be straining to see as much. Let us know how he progresses.

  2. That would be great! So far I've noticed he isn't squinting his left eye as much (though he is still squinting his right eye so it looks kind of funny) but he says it's improved his vision in his left eye a lot which is really cool!

  3. I'm so glad that his surgery went well. It has to be so scary. I'm glad he is able to get it done though.
