Abby's 2-Year Old Photos!

Since Abby was just a newborn one of my best friends Ashley Biggers has been taking her photos. She's taken Abby's newborn, 3-months, 6-months, 9-months, 12-months, 18-months, and now Abby's 2-year old photos. Every time Ashley takes them I am just amazed at how beautiful they turn out...of course I could be a little biased, lol.

Abby has always been fascinated with water and now that she is big enough to move the kitchen bar stool to the sink she has started playing in the sink. What a silly girl! (2/12/2013)

Matt has been on a exercise kick lately (he's gained a little sympathy pregnancy weight which I must admit does make me feel better about all the weight I have gained) and last night Abby decided she needed some exercise too, lol! (2/12/2013) 

When Abby's uncle Austin left on his mission to Madagascar in October 2011 Abby was only 9 months old and so he's missed a lot of her milestones. One major milestone was Abby talking. I made this video to show Austin just how smart and cute his little niece his. (2/12/2013)

What do I call it now, "The Kids Room"?

On Saturday, February 9th, my amazing sister and mom threw me the cutest baby shower (pics coming soon) and Liam and I got spoiled! I got so many cute items I am just in awe with how blessed I am. On Sunday Matt and I decided to start organizing all our loot and decided to go all out and get Liam/Abby's room ready. We spent the whole day organizing, cleaning, arranging, and shopping to get everything just right for when little Liam comes in 3.5 weeks. Even though it was a lot of hard work it was so much fun for me to see things come together and feel so productive. Abby and Liam will be sharing a room until we find a place of our own but we made sure it was super cute and perfect for the two of them...

Another project I worked on yesterday with help from my mom was Liam's bassinet. We used the same one we used with Abby (and truth be told it's actually the same bassinet my mom used with me and her mom and dad used with her, talk about a heirloom). When we used it with Abby it had a pink cover and pink mattress sheet so we had to update it for a little boy. My mom sewed this cover and sheet and I think she did pretty stinkin amazing considering all she did was eyeball it and take a few measurements. I steered clear of the sewing machine (click here if you need a reminder why) and helped take measurements and do some of the cutting. I think it turned out perfect! 

Since we were on a roll we decided to get the car seat out of storage and as soon as Abby saw it she deiced it was "Abby's" car seat, lol. Pretty much all of Liam's stuff (clothes, crib, bassinet, toys) Abby decided were "Abby's". It will make the next couple of months very interesting to say the least.

It was an extremely busy and tiring weekend but a very productive one as well! We have the hospital bag to pack now and I think we will pretty much be ready for Liam! (Well as ready as we can be, lol)

Too Much Snow (part 2)

This morning we woke up to another big snow storm. It's funny cause when we got to work (about 30 miles north) they got no snow at all, guess it decided to drop everything right on us! We spent the morning shoveling (well Matt shoveled and I tried to help as much as possible without going into labor 5 weeks early) and even Abby helped out, what a cutie! It's supposed to snow tomorrow and the next day so I think it's safe to say we are ready for spring!

My Big Girl!

Well it's that time, time to say goodbye to crib...

And hello to big girl bed...

My cousin Amanda gave us this super cute big girl bed (which my sister and I painted on Saturday) and Abby loved it right away. We had her helping us paint it and get it all ready and when it finally dried Abby was ecstatic to finally touch it, lol. Abby helped me take down her crib, vacuum underneath it (who knew it could get so dirty under a crib?!) and then finally we had dad bring her bed into her room where we put all her stuffed animals on it and got it looking cute! Abby took her first nap on it yesterday and I was quite surprised by how well she stayed on the bed. Last night I was all ready for her to freak out and not want to sleep in her bed but after about five minute of cuddling I told her I was going to go to bed and would see her in the morning and she did just fine. I know I really lucked out with Abby cause she is such a good girl. So proud of my big girl!

Mr. Graduate

Yesterday Matt received his bachelors degree in the mail and all I can say is I am SOOOO proud of this man! Way to go Matt, you are AMAZING!
